We, STAHLO Stahlservice GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter "STAHLO") are pleased that you have visited our website. The protection of your personal data during processing is an important concern for us. We want you to feel secure when visiting our website. In the following, we explain what information we collect at STAHLO during your visit to our websites and how it is used.

  1. Personal data
In general, it is not necessary for you to provide personal data in order to use our website. However, in order for you to be able to use our offer comprehensively, we may need your personal data. "Personal data" is individual information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. On the one hand, this is information directly about you, e.g. your correct name, address, telephone number and date of birth. This also includes information that does not directly reveal your real identity, but which can be associated with you - such as favorite websites or number of users of a site or your IP address. Therefore, the following applies: Personal data is only collected, used and passed on by us if this is permitted by law, if this is necessary for the use of one of our offers, or if you consent to the data collection.

  2. Collection and processing of personal data
When you visit our web pages, our web servers temporarily store the connection data of the requesting computer (IP address), the web pages that you visit on our site, the date and duration of the visit, the identifiers of the browser and operating system used (so-called "user agent"), as well as the web page from which you visit us (so-called "referrer") for the purpose of system security. This data is evaluated by us for statistical purposes. This is done in aggregate form; individual users are not traced. Additional personal data, such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address are not collected unless you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. in the context of an online application, a request for information via the contact form or when registering for a newsletter or the online store.

If you do not wish to provide us with certain data electronically, e.g. for an application, you are free to contact us by mail at the address given in the imprint.

  3. Use and disclosure of personal data
We use your personal data to fulfill your wishes and requirements, i.e. generally to process the contract concluded with you, to respond to your inquiry, as part of your online application or to send you the newsletter for which you have registered. We will only use this data for product-related surveys and marketing purposes if you have given us your prior consent or if you have not objected - insofar as this is permitted by legal regulations. Your personal data will only be transferred to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of processing the contract or if you have given your express consent, or if legal regulations permit such transfer. If the transfer of personal data to an external service provider is necessary for the provision of a service or to respond to an inquiry, we ensure through appropriate technical and organizational measures that the legal provisions on data protection are complied with. We also oblige our external service providers to comply with the relevant statutory data protection provisions, to treat the personal data confidentially and to delete it immediately as soon as it is no longer required.

  4. Newsletter
If you would like to receive one of our newsletters, we require a valid email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No other data is collected. This data is only used for sending the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. With the registration for the newsletter, we also store your IP address and time/date of registration in addition to your email address. This is done solely for the purpose of having proof in the event that a third party misuses your email address and registers for newsletter reception without your knowledge. You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, the email address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. The revocation can be done via a link in the newsletters themselves, or by sending a message to the contact options contained therein or below.
